Mr. Johnson joined the firm in 2015 and became a partner in 2023. He received his law degree in 2013 from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. He graduated cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa in 2010.
Mr. Johnson primarily represents the firm’s union clients and has extensive experience with collective bargaining negotiations, National Labor Relations Board proceedings, and labor arbitrations. He regularly represents unions during organizing campaigns, assisting clients through the NLRB election process or voluntary recognition procedures. He also advises the firm’s benefit fund clients and represents them before federal and state courts.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Johnson was an associate at a union-side labor law firm in Kansas City. During law school, he worked as a law clerk at the U.S. Department of Labor, the Laborers' International Union of North America, the Service Employees International Union, and a union-side labor law firm in Washington, D.C.
