Our Firm represents individual employees and unions in all areas of labor and employment law. In all practice areas, we represent our clients in federal and state court, arbitrations, mediation, and before administrative agencies, such as the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the New York State Division of Human Rights.
Our Labor Practice involves both private and public sector organizations, ranging in size from small local unions to large international unions, in a wide range of industries including entertainment, health care, education, transportation, construction, and communications. Our Labor Practice also includes the representing of benefit funds and providing advice regarding ERISA compliance. We engage in collective bargaining, handle bankruptcy claims, pursue collections against delinquent employers, and represent clients in labor arbitration.
Our Employment Practice involves representation of workers in varied occupations. We advise individuals on disciplinary matters, benefit issues, unlawful discriminatory conduct, employment and severance agreements, and wage and hour violations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and New York State Labor Law, including minimum wage and overtime violations.
